Regeneration of Kincardine High Flats
A three phase regeneration project consisting of 120 family homes requiring a completed masterplan, continuing community consultation and demolition of 3 no. 16 storey, 1970’s council flats on a steeply sloping site.
Critical to the project’s success was re-establishing physical and social links with the existing community. Key to this was a 7 stage Community Consultation process which was managed by ORA.
The development fully adopts ‘Designing Places’ and ‘Designing Streets’ principles to create a contemporary interpretation of the traditional fishing village vernacular.
