Preparing for the new General Data Protection Regulation

GDPR ImagePreparing for the new General Data Protection Regulation

In preparation of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which comes into effect 25 May 2018, we at Oliver + Robb Architects (ORA) are updating our current database.

The GDPR replaces the Data Protection Act 1998 and Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC. It has been designed to harmonise data privacy laws across Europe, to greater protect and empower its citizens and to reshape the way organisations approach data protection.

Over the next few weeks ORA will be reaching out to all our contacts seeking permission to hold their personal data, stating why and to what purpose we will use that information for, and to gain confirmation that the individual wishes to ‘opt-in’ to allow us to contact them in the future.

If the individual does not ‘opt-in’ then ORA will be unable to keep them up to date with the latest developments and exciting opportunities.

As valued clients and colleagues we, at Oliver + Robb Architects, hope that you will allow us to stay in touch.
