Planning Secured for Sheltered Housing Development
We are delighted to announce that ORA have secured planning approval for a new sheltered housing residential development on behalf of Fife Council. This project aims to deliver high-quality specialist housing to meet the needs of both the local community and the wider area.
The development will feature 40 new apartments within a purpose-built facility, designed to provide comprehensive support services and communal spaces. Key features include associated parking, amenity spaces, landscaped gardens, sustainable urban drainage, and enhanced biodiversity, all adhering to Fife Council’s guidelines.
Access to the development will be from Evershed Drive, with frontage on both Evershed Drive and Aberdour Road. The design thoughtfully considers the challenging topography and integrates seamlessly with the existing suburban landscape, completing the building line along Aberdour Road.
This project is a significant step towards addressing the current housing crisis in Scotland by providing much-needed specialist housing solutions. We are proud to contribute to alleviating housing shortages and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
Sustainability is at the heart of this development. From the use of sustainable urban drainage systems to the creation of landscaped gardens that promote biodiversity, every aspect of the project is designed with environmental responsibility in mind. We are committed to building a greener future for our community.
Additionally, the development will incorporate energy-efficient features such as high-performance insulation, energy-efficient windows, and renewable energy sources to minimise the environmental footprint and reduce energy costs for residents.
We look forward to bringing this important project to life and contributing to the community’s well-being.
